RNC’s chief techie launching startup on the side
by Nancy ScolaOn Tuesday, Azarias Reda is unveiling his new startup, Republic, which makes digital voter engagement software designed to help GOP candidates manage field operations. As he gets the company off the ground, Reda has been splitting his time between the eight-person startup and his job at the RNC.
His approach has fans among Republican technologists. “From the party’s perspective, it makes sense to have someone you work with helping to get your data out there,” says Erik Rapprich, a former Web director for the Republican Governors Association. “And as a consumer I’d have more confidence that they’d really know the data.”
