This morning, we pulled back the covers on Newsbook Tech, a hub for all the technology news that’s popping on social media, and our first extension of the Newsbook product.

In the six weeks since launching Newsbook, we’ve received amazing feedback, including from many of you who’ve made it a daily go-to news source. They say that in product development, the first test of value is whether your own people internally use it and enjoy it — a concept known as dogfooding. Personally, I have to say my own news consumption habits have shifted from methods like RSS to Newsbook. Not bad for a quick experiment that grew out of a desire to more efficiently scan the links people were sharing on Facebook to get a sense of the current zeitgeist.

With its vibrant news ecosystem, technology was a natural extension of Newsbook. We’ve moved the technology section that appeared on Newsbook’s homepage and expanded it with sections for news from mainstays about gadgets, business, social media, and dedicated areas about Apple and Google. This left us room to expand our repertoire of news sites to include the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and BBC News.

What do you think of the new Newsbook Tech?
