Many digital agencies promise “innovative design” for their clients’ websites, but few actually deliver. What’s more common in these agencies is developing cookie-cutter templates that can be re-used client after client. While that approach may be sufficient for some, we thrive working with clients who appreciate original, and truly innovative design of their online homes that will stand out to voters.
Our latest site launch for Florida United States Senate candidate Connie Mack is a great example of a campaign who values great visual and user experience design.
With a heavy focus on imagery of Florida’s most iconic landscapes, content slides seamlessly across the screen as the user toggles through the navigation.
With the user in mind every step of the way, we designed the new ConnieMack.com with an easy-to-use navigation structure in the main navigation bar as well as on the inner pages.
While we wanted to build a site that was truly innovative for the Mack campaign, we also knew we needed to make something functional that could serve the campaign and the voters well throughout the rigorous campaign for Senate. While the main pages utilize beautiful full-screen photos for the more static content on the site, we needed to design a taller, more traditional sub-page to host fuller content such as news articles, press releases, blog posts, etc.
One of the biggest reasons we chose this design was so that the site would be both beautiful and functional on the iPad, cell phones and other mobile devices. Designing a site for the iPad specifically will allow the campaign to use the main site to collect email addresses, donations and other information easily while on the ground at events, as demonstrated by the picture below, taken at the campaign’s kick-off event in Estero, Florida last week. And because the new ConnieMack.com is built on the Engage CMS, those email sign-ups feed to MailChimp in real-time. No exporting and importing required!
